Five Muslim New Yorker’s tell their story in interview-based theater scripted by Ping Chong and Company at the LaGuardia Performing Arts Center. Each narrates his own story, creating a performance that is a diverse representation of the Muslim-American experience. Together “they are a chorus of voices gently demolishing the notion of Muslim culture as monolithic.”1 All of the biographical actors recollect how 9/11 subtely or not so subtley shifted their lives as perceptions of Muslims were tainted.
