Guerrilla Girls

In 2015 an exhibition titled “Guerrilla Girls: Art in Action” opened at the Pomona College Museum of Art …it was a  documentary look at the protests, artworks and shaming that have defined the Guerrilla Girls’ legacy.  The masked gorillas [who were/are the anonymous Guerrilla Girls] appeared on billboards, hosted seminars, and held debates, and published stats of the ratio of male to female artists in the large museums of the USA.  Their goal was to raise awareness about sexism in the arts.
